FAA Level 3 Award (QCF)

This course has been developed for those who work with children and infants. It will be of particular use to teachers, child minders, crèche assistants, playgroup personnel and anyone else who has a responsibility for childrens welfare whilst in your care. It is ideal for individuals who are responsible for children and infants, who wish to gain a nationally accredited Level 3 Award. This two-day course satisfies the guidelines and criteria as laid down by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted. In order to obtain this qualification, you must attend both days and complete the two units of accreditation.

2 days (12 hours - excluding breaks) including:

  • Responsibilities and reporting

  • Assessment of the situation

  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty

  • Resuscitation

  • Choking

  • Control of bleeding and shock

  • Fainting

  • Epilepsy

  • Bites and Stings

  • Foreign bodies

  • Sprains & Strains

  • Fractures

  • Head injuries

  • Spinal injuries

  • Eye injuries

  • Sickle cell anaemia

  • Diabetes

  • Anaphylaxis

  • Heat and Cold

  • Meningitis

  • Infantile convulsions

  • Burns

  • Asthma

The Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work Qualification can be added to this qualification if required to cover adult CPR procedures and first aid techniques.
